Grounded by Grace Coffee began with a simple belief: what we enjoy every day can carry meaning far beyond the moment. For founder Laura Belcher, coffee was never meant to be just another product on a shelf. She envisioned a brand built around something deeper: a beautiful daily ritual that could bring people together, tell meaningful stories, and connect ordinary moments with extraordinary purpose.

A SHARED PURPOSE. A MISSION. A BIGGER VISION.

Laura's journey became deeply connected to the work of Fr. Innocent, founder of Oma Helpinghands Foundation, whose commitment to serving communities in Nigeria helped bring a larger vision into focus. Through the foundation, compassion became action: bringing clean water to communities, expanding educational opportunities, developing practical skills, and helping families build pathways toward greater independence. But it wasn't simply the projects that stayed with her. It was the people behind them. The mothers. The children. The families. The communities. And the dignity that comes from creating opportunity rather than simply offering temporary help.

What began as a shared purpose grew into an even deeper commitment. As the vision expanded, Laura went on to establish and become the founder of Oma Helpinghands Foundation in the United States, helping build a bridge between supporters in the U.S. and the community led work taking place in Nigeria. Working alongside Fr. Innocent and seeing the mission grow strengthened something Laura already believed: Business and purpose do not have to live in separate worlds. There could be a bridge between them. And eventually, that idea found its way into a cup of coffee.

WHY COFFEE?

Coffee has an extraordinary way of bringing people together. It starts mornings. It fills conversations. It crosses cultures and continents. Behind every cup is a journey: from the land where coffee is grown, to the hands that cultivate it, to the person holding the finished cup. For Laura, that made coffee the perfect place to begin. Grounded by Grace was created to offer exceptional coffee while inviting people into a story that goes deeper than what's inside the bag.

Our coffees celebrate African origins including Uganda, Ethiopia, Kenya and Tanzania, each with its own character, heritage and story.

BEYOND THE CUP

Beyond the Cup represents the belief that a cup of coffee can be more than something we consume. It can create conversation, connect us to people and places we may never have encountered otherwise, and remind us to look beyond ourselves. Grounded by Grace Coffee and Oma Helpinghands Foundation are distinct organizations, each with its own work and purpose. But they are connected by a shared conviction: When we lead with compassion and act with intention, even something as familiar as a cup of coffee can become an invitation to care.
